What We Believe

What We Believe

Our Statement of Faith

We are under

the grace of Almighty God.

Our desire is to serve our families in harmony on the basis of the essential doctrines listed below.

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God.

We believe that the scriptures of both Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible revelation of God to man and the authority of faith and conduct. We believe men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.

One God

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The one true God has revealed Himself as the "I AM," the Creator and Redeemer of mankind. We believe in one personal God who exists eternally in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in power, authority, and glory.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, both fully God and fully human.

He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died as the sacrificial substitute to pay for the penalty of sin, physically rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and He will one day physically return.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit indwells all believers.

The Holy Spirit indwells all believers, accomplishing His regenerating and sanctifying work unto eternal life. We believe the Holy Spirit who regenerates and indwells every believer in Jesus assures us of our salvation, guides us into all truth, glorifies Jesus and convicts of sin, righteousness and judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and empowers us for service.

All Humanity

All humanity, Christ excluded, is sinful by both birth and action.

God created man and woman in His perfect image with equality across lines of ethnicity, gender, and class. All humanity, Christ excluded, is sinful by both birth and action. The deserved penalty for sin is physical and spiritual death. We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him, but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts. Man's only hope is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

Salvation

Salvation in our Lord Jesus Christ is a redemptive process, wholly of God.

Salvation in our Lord Jesus Christ is a redemptive process, wholly of God, in which believers participate solely on the basis of His grace through their faith in Jesus. We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way for the forgiveness of sin. God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is by faith through grace and demonstrated in repentance. Salvation cannot be earned, it is a free gift from God. Divine healing is provided by the Scriptures and included in the atonement for our sins.

Resurrection

Both the saved and the lost will be resurrected to their final judgment before God.

Those who, in their earthly life, turned from sin and to Jesus in faith and repentance will be raised to eternal reward. Those who did not turn from sin and to Jesus will be raised to eternal punishment. We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ to the earth and the establishing of His kingdom, in the resurrection of the body, and the final judgment. The resurrection of the just is the blessed hope of the body of Christ. We believe that our eternal destination of either heaven or hell is determined in our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.

One Man and One Woman

We believe God our Creator established marriage.

We believe God our Creator established marriage as a sacred institution between one man and one woman. We believe that marriage is a covenant only between one man and one woman and that this has been the traditional definition of marriage for all of human history.
